Coral Beach shopping centre (Hof Almog), opposite the Reef Hotel, Eilat

A fish and seafood restaurant in the style of a Greek taverna on Eilat's Coral Beach, where a spread of salads comes with every main course

Fish Market, Shuk Dagim in Hebrew, is a fish and seafood restaurant in the small shopping centre on Coral Beach, on Eilat's southern shore, opposite the Reef Hotel and, as mako puts it, opposite the Last Refuge; in its own words it overlooks the blue bay and the Red Sea mountains. It works as its own pages describe: you order a main course, and the table fills with salads, focaccia and appetisers at no extra charge. On its menu of September 2025 the mains cost 89 to 149 shekels: whole fish and fillets from the season's catch, grilled, butterflied, fried, half and half or baked, as the diner chooses, with grouper, red drum and barramundi sold by weight, as well as shrimps, mussels, a seafood casserole, pastas and steaks, and there are children's meals. The room is dressed as a Greek taverna, with checked tablecloths and Greek music, and at its centre a fishing boat has been turned into a bar; mako puts the boat at 100 years old, and its guide of May 2026 singled out the seared tuna. On Thursday evenings it holds Greek taverna nights with live music, which mako called very popular. mako also calls it the successor of Beit HaDayag, an Eilat institution that ran here in the 1980s. It opened in 2014, when Shimi Ilouz, who had managed Sabrest, the restaurant then on the site, for three years, bought it and made it a fish restaurant in the Greek manner, by the restaurant's own advertisement in Yom Yom that June; in 2017 the paper's magazine introduced him as its chef. It also hosts private events, for up to 250 guests by the listing it uses for them.

Sources disagree on these hours

Its website gives 12:30 to 23:00 every day of the week, and so do the tourism site's Hebrew page and 2eat. Its booking page on Ontopo shows 13:00 to 23:00, with Friday from 12:30 to midnight. Its Google listing, as Wanderlog copies it, closes at 21:30 from Sunday to Thursday, at 23:00 on Friday and at 22:00 on Saturday. No source mentions a break between lunch and dinner.
