The kosher Ramat HaNassi branch of a Haifa bakery and deli, with its pastry kitchen behind a glass window

Léonie is the bakery store of Haifa's Sinta Bar group, with two branches in the city, and this is the newer one, the kosher branch in the Ramat HaNassi commercial centre at 12 Shunit Street. Its site says Léonie was born of years of gathering tastes in the small delis on European street corners: fresh breads, pastries and sandwiches made every day, a fridge of spreads, fresh salads, cold cuts and cheeses, and a freezer of fresh pasta from the group's own factory, ice cream and pizzas. Léonie's pastry kitchen is in this branch, and through a glass window you can watch the pastries, sandwiches and cakes being made by hand. Every sandwich can be made gluten free on request, the cakes and cookies change daily and include some with no added sugar, and cakes for birthdays and holidays can be ordered ahead by email. The branch also sells kosher wines, homeware and textiles, and employs people with disabilities.
