A Mexican street-food window in the courtyard of Sirkin 21, in Haifa's Talpiot Market, serving burritos, bowls and tacos to eat in the courtyard or take away

Taco Tia is a Mexican street-food window: an ordering counter set into a wall of the lower courtyard of Sirkin 21, a 1970s building in Haifa's Talpiot Market, with the kitchen behind it (mako, September 2024). There is no dining room. You order at the window and eat in the courtyard, which ynet described in February 2025 as covered and half open, or take the food away. It opened in the summer of 2024, and the Haifa blog Haifait calls it the little sister of Pho 26 and the Zero Zero natural-wine bar, which opens onto the same courtyard. ynet's travel pages wrote in August 2024 that Eyal Mansour, who owns Pho 26 and Zero Zero, is a partner in it and that Yarin Shalem is another; Israel Hayom named Alon Marciano, Yarin Shalev and Eyal Mansour as the people who run it, and TheMarker counted it among Eitan Hazan's places, with Pho 26 and Zero Zero. Dani Baron put the menu together (mako). It is short: burritos, bowls and tacos with asado slow-cooked for about eight hours, chili con carne, or a vegan chili "non" carne made with Redefine Meat, and beside them nachos, sauces made on the premises, beer and frozen margarita. It says it does no deep frying, and that its nachos and bowls are gluten free. mako's Lin Levi predicted in 2024 that its burrito would reach the hall of fame of Israel's street food, and in April 2026 mako put it on its list of the country's tastiest street food, writing that every burrito is "simply a show". The courtyard holds cultural events with live music and guest chefs and artists, and ynet wrote that Thursdays are especially lively. The people behind it opened Mifgash Bat Galim in April 2026.
