Chef Guy Peretz's Greek taverna in the Daniel Hotel on the Herzliya Pituach beach, a dairy and fish kitchen where dinner turns into a Greek party with live singers every evening

Salon Yevani is chef Guy Peretz's Greek taverna in the Daniel Hotel on the beach at Herzliya Pituach, the Herzliya branch of the group of restaurants of the same name. By its own account Peretz opened the taverna in 2020 at the West hotel in Tel Aviv and moved it to Herzliya Pituach in 2023; in June 2023 ynet wrote of Salon Yevani at the West hotel on the Ashdod promenade, then turning from a Greek meat restaurant into a taverna of mezze and fish, and Israel Hayom reported its opening in the Daniel Hotel in December 2023. The group has since opened by the lake at Yes Planet in Rishon LeZion (2024), at the First Station in Jerusalem and in Zichron Yaakov (2025) and at Savyon Junction in Or Yehuda, and its website says a restaurant at the Dead Sea is coming. Peretz, born in Dimona in 1977 to a family of chefs and butchers from Casablanca, trained at the Tadmor school, won 13 international gold medals as captain of Israel's national chefs' team and has written four cookbooks. The kitchen is dairy and fish and open to the room: mezze, fresh local fish, Greek classics, pastries and pastas, with wines, olives, feta and pomegranates imported from Greece, a fresh vegetable station, an open bar of mezze and raw fish, a fish butcher station and a dessert table. The room has blue windows, plenty of flowers and a balcony over the beach, guests may smash plates as in Greece, and now and then an evening is given to the dishes and music of one part of Greece, such as Mykonos or Santorini. Its format is what it calls Dinner & Party: a chef's dinner that turns into a Greek party with singers from Greece and Israel, among them Maya Sol, Rafael and Arinda Dima, and bouzouki, oud and keyboard players, every evening it opens and on Friday at midday. Its booking page has the singers on from 20:00 or 20:30, and the Jerusalem Post's review of April 2025 put the show at 21:00. Every evening has a minimum order of 200 shekels a diner, 300 on Thursday, except at happy hour. In summer the terrace over the beach becomes Mykonos Terrace, with sunset meals, chill-out music and cocktails. It takes events of 10 to 180 guests by its booking page, and up to 250 by its events page. Rest's magazine put it among the best restaurants on the Herzliya beach in January 2026, and Debbest lists it among the top kosher restaurants in Tel Aviv and Herzliya. Sunset Kitchen, also in the Daniel Hotel, is a separate dairy restaurant.
