By its own account Sandwich Factory is a sandwich restaurant that made aliyah from downtown Manhattan: it opened in 1995 on Ahad Ha'am Street in Tel Aviv, and its flagship branch is at 16 Arye Shenkar Street in Herzliya Pituach. It makes meat, dairy and vegetarian sandwiches and sells them too as platters for meetings, conferences and events, with trays of cut vegetables and dips, fruit, desserts and packed meals for trips. Its site says it catered the opening ceremony of the 18th Maccabiah, feeding about 10,000 athletes. It is kosher under the Herzliya rabbinate, takes credit cards and meal cards, and opens Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to 15:00.
