Tufiney is a Jerusalem chain of patisseries and cafés, privately owned and working in the city since 2003, and its factory shop is on HaUman Street in Talpiot; the other shop is in the old Beit HaKerem shopping centre. The name comes from a verse in Leviticus about the baked pieces of the meal offering, which the founders read before they opened. Its shops sell cakes, cookies, pastries, tarts and pies, yeast cakes and baked cheesecake platters, birthday cakes with a printed picture, and gluten-free and sugar-free cakes, all made by hand, its site says. Hosting trays and desserts for events are made to order by phone or in the shops. It is kosher mehadrin under the Jerusalem Badatz, by its own account.
