You Need Coffee is a family roasting house founded in Jerusalem in August 2011 by Hod and Mitsuko Ben Zvi. It began in a small shop at 30 Jaffa Street, which ran until 2023, and has been at 78 Jaffa Street since 2017. The family bought its first roaster in 2016 and roasted in the grandparents' house in the Ein Hod artists' village, then moved the roaster to Jerusalem a year later, and customers can now watch the coffee being roasted while they choose beans. Each coffee is roasted in small batches in a 2-kilogram roaster, with the roasting date on every bag, from about 30 kinds: single origins from Kenya to Costa Rica, specialty coffees and house blends, and the shop also serves espresso drinks. The bags carry art by the grandparents, Gedaliah and Rachel Ben Zvi, among the founders of Ein Hod. Its site says three of its coffees won awards in 2026 in an Israeli roasters' competition run by Shotim magazine.
