A kosher gourmet street food restaurant on HaShikma Street by Mahane Yehuda market, known for steak burgers and sandwiches with lamb bacon and vegan cheese.

Crave opened in 2016 by Mahane Yehuda market as a gourmet street food restaurant, mixing American, Mexican and Asian cooking. Its site says the dishes go through smoking, aging and sous-vide cooking, and that every sauce, pickle and cured meat is made in-house. It set out to give diners who keep kosher their own versions of dishes that are not usually kosher: burgers and beef sandwiches topped with lamb bacon and a choice of vegan cheeses, and milkshakes made without milk. The menu runs from loaded fries with duck confit or pulled brisket to steak burgers of 200 grams, a Reuben of New York style pastrami and a fried chicken sandwich. The room is laid out like a bar and turns lively in the evening. It is open Sunday to Wednesday from noon to 23:00 and on Thursday to midnight; on Friday it closes three hours before Shabbat, and on Saturday night it opens two hours after Shabbat ends.
