Sushi Bazel in Netanya is the second branch of Sushi Bar Bazel, the sushi bar that Yossi Hulo opened in north Tel Aviv in 1997 with two tables and a small bar, as mako tells it. The original moved from Basel Street to Frishman, Ben Yehuda and Bograshov streets, and became kosher after a move to the lobby of the Prima hotel. In 2024 the Niraor group, owned by Nir Maatuk and behind the Chooka, China Town and Wok to Walk Asian restaurants, bought the brand to build a kosher chain, and Netanya was its first branch outside Tel Aviv: mako reported it open in May 2025, and NetanyaNet put the investment at about 3 million shekels. The chain's website lists two branches, this one and Bograshov Street in Tel Aviv. The branch is run by a franchisee, the restaurateur James Hamara, who told ynet in January 2026 that the city was short of kosher Asian restaurants; the group's chef, Itai Tamir, put together its pan-Asian menu. It runs from rolls, nigiri and sashimi, among them the Sunset roll that mako calls the restaurant's signature, to gyoza, Vietnamese nems, bao buns, pad thai, pad kapao, ramen and Thai curry, with a section of vegetarian sushi and meals for children. The restaurant, in the Soho complex at 5 Mefi Street by IKEA, has about 150 seats in four areas, indoors, outdoors, a private room and a sushi bar, as mako and eati report. In its own words it has an elegant room and a large bar with colourful cocktails and a list of Israeli boutique wines, and it hosts private and business events of up to 60 guests with a food and wine menu made for them. It is kosher for meat under the Netanya rabbinate, closes on Friday afternoon and opens again an hour and a half after Shabbat ends. In ynet, Amir Kaminer included it among five places opened in Netanya in the previous two years, and Debbest listed it among Israel's new kosher restaurants of 2025.

Its branch page gives Sunday to Wednesday 12:00 to 23:00, Thursday 12:00 to midnight, Friday 11:30 to 16:00 and Saturday night from an hour and a half after Shabbat ends until midnight, and the reports on its opening in mako, eati and NetanyaNet in 2025 print the same. Its table bookings on Ontopo run to 23:30 on Wednesday as well as on Thursday, with the restaurant open until midnight on both nights, take Friday bookings from 12:00 to 14:00 only, and start at 21:00 on Saturday night. Wolt takes its orders from 11:30 until midnight on most days, until 23:30 on Tuesday, until 16:00 on Friday and from 20:10 on Saturday night; those are ordering hours.
