Alma is a kosher wine and food bar on HaMeyasdim Street, Karkur's main street, opened in 2025 by two chefs, Shalev Peretz and Tom Mizrahi, who cooked together at Herbert Samuel in Tel Aviv. All the cooking is done at the bar in front of the guests, on a charcoal grill and in a taboon, and the menu runs from small plates and raw fish to fish and vegetables off the coals, handmade pasta and a few desserts, with local wines. It is dairy under Tzohar, so there is no meat, and it opens in the evening, Sunday to Thursday, closing for Shabbat. Mako's critic found it full from the bar to the tables outside on a Tuesday night, with loud music and young cooks at the taboon, and Yuvi Yam wrote in April 2026 that it fills up all week.
