An Iraqi home-cooking restaurant in a lane off Jabotinsky Street in Ramla market, known for kubbeh and okra
Naji's is reached by turning left into a lane at the Merkaz pharmacy on Jabotinsky Street, in the market. The town's tourism site calls it another Ramla institution: a small room whose kitchen is part of the dining room, old aluminium pots covered with cushions, and photographs on the wall of the owners with Yitzhak Shamir and with Tuvia Tzafir. The family cooks traditional Iraqi food: pita for dipping in okra sauce, red kubbeh soup with beetroot, rice, and bulgur kubbeh, which Jerusalemites call kubbeh hamo, eaten with a stew of lungs. In 2017 ynet wrote that it had been cooking for nearly 40 years, and listed a kebab in pita at 27 shekels and stuffed lamb intestines with rice at 45.
