Meshigane, Yiddish for "crazy", is the vegan café that Vered Bar Reshef and Darya Leynova opened in 2024 in Samsonov Courtyard on the HaMeyasdim pedestrian mall, set back from the street. The two had run a vegan food truck together at Ma'ayan Tzvi, built and painted the café themselves, and make all the food on site: Vered bakes the yeast cakes and pastries, and her husband Idan makes the coffee. The menu changes about once a month and runs from breakfasts for one or for two, bruschettas and dumplings to plant-based versions of cheese, eggs and even caviar. It is known for its pistachio coffee and its tofu "pastrami" sandwich, and children get small pancakes with a palette of jams and a brush. There are tables in the green courtyard and in a small, warm room inside, with a couch and an open kitchen. In October 2025 The Jerusalem Post listed a double breakfast at 158 shekels and desserts at 19 to 48, and its reviewer compared the relaxed feel to a Greenwich Village café.

The text on its own Facebook page, which carries no date, gives Sunday to Thursday 08:30 to 18:00 and Friday 08:00 to 15:00, with no Saturday. In October 2025 The Jerusalem Post gave Sunday to Wednesday 08:30 to 18:00, Thursday until 21:00 and Friday 08:00 to 15:00. In February 2026 Channel 13 reported that the café opens on Friday evening and on Saturday.
