A kosher dairy café and restaurant in the visitor centre of the Ramat Hanadiv gardens, with a kitchen where young people at risk learn a trade
Mata'im has run the café-restaurant in Ramat Hanadiv's visitor centre since 2012, between the nature park and the memorial gardens around the tomb of Baron Edmond de Rothschild, on the southern tip of the Carmel between Zichron Yaakov and Binyamina. Its menu is kosher dairy, with fish: breakfast trays, shakshukas and eggs Benedict until 11:30, then salads, focaccia, pasta, pizza and fish, and some dishes come vegan or gluten-free. It is also a social enterprise: each year about 15 to 20 young people at risk who have dropped out of school train and work in the restaurant, the gardens and operations for up to a year and a half, on full wages, in a programme run with Ramat Hanadiv, the youth charity ELEM and the Dualis fund. A playground stands beside it, and it hosts weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and business events of up to 350 guests. It closes on Saturday; Tsuf, the garden café its team opened in the gardens, is open every day, Saturday included. In November 2025 mako's travel writer called it pastoral and of good quality.

Sources disagree on these hours
From its own website, as archived in June 2026. Its Google listing gave the same hours on 28 September 2026, with Saturday closed. Its restaurant page notes that Friday hours vary. Ramat Hanadiv's page on eating in the gardens, last changed in January 2026, gives 08:00 to 14:00, and 08:00 to 13:00 on Friday, and its booking page on Tabit gives 08:00 to 16:00, and 08:00 to 14:00 on Friday.

- Ramat Hanadiv's page on access calls it an accessible restaurant with accessible toilets. The gardens and the visitor centre are accessible except the tomb cave, the accessible bays in the main car park are 100 m from the information shop along a paved path, and wheelchairs can be borrowed at the shop. Its own article of July 2025 adds a paved route from the car park to the table, wide passages, tables at a suitable height, a Braille booklet, hearing aids and a changing room.
