A kosher sushi bar and Asian kitchen in the Baron's old stables on HaNadiv Street
Uma opened in 2016 in a listed building on HaNadiv Street, close to the pedestrian street, that its own menu calls almost 150 years old and once a horse stable; its own words and the press know it as the Baron's stables. It is a bar-restaurant for sushi, Asian dishes and cocktails, kosher and meat under the Zichron Yaakov rabbinate. Its menu of May 2026 opens with crispy rice, sashimi and a ceviche, goes on to gyoza, bao buns, nems, a ramen and stir-fries named after places in Asia, and has more than 30 house rolls, named, as its site puts it, after friends and good people: Noam, Ahuva, Micha, Sara. In July 2026 mako reported that chef Eran Gal Hasan had signed its new menu. Inside are a large bar and a gallery floor, and outside a green courtyard. It opens at noon from Sunday to Thursday and on Saturday night after Shabbat, and the Yuvi Yam blog found it busy even midweek in 2024. It is the first of three Uma restaurants: Uma Young, a faster sister without waiter service, is at HaDagan 2 in Zichron Yaakov, and Uma Ni is in Hadera, the town its owners grew up in. mako's travel writer called Uma an institution in Zichron in 2025.

Its website's page for the restaurant gives Sunday to Thursday 12:00 to 23:30 and Saturday night from about an hour after Shabbat ends, and its contact page adds that it is closed on Friday and gives Saturday as 18:00 to 23:30. Both pages were last changed in February 2024, and its current home page gives no hours. Its Google listing, as copied on 16 September 2026, agrees on Sunday to Wednesday but has Thursday until midnight and Saturday from 20:30 to 23:45, and mako printed Sunday to Thursday 12:00 to 23:45 in May 2025.
