Batya & Nachman is chef Ronen Raviv's kosher meat restaurant, named after his parents, Batya and Nachman Raviv, of one of the families that founded Zichron Yaakov. It is in Hatzer Raviv, the courtyard of the house where Ronen was born, at 37 HaMeyasdim on the pedestrian street. There, in 1999, he opened Haneshika, a restaurant ynet has called a Zichron Yaakov legend, and in 2017, by its own account, he set out to make a place all about meat, preferably smoked. The meat goes on the grill first and then into smokers scented with lemon, apple and jujube wood from the garden: brisket pastrami, asado, veal ribs, chorizo and chicken. A food blog told the story in 2018: Nachman, Ronen's father and a vintner in the old moshava, was known as "Nachman the smoker" for the cigarette he lit on every break. At the front, a sandwich counter opened around 2022 fills its own frena bread with smoked meat, tahini, sauerkraut, tomato and pickles, and for the chef's sandwich Ronen makes whatever he feels like; ynet's guide to the area called it one of the best meat sandwiches you can build. Inside, among vintage pieces from his parents' home, or on the patio in the shade of a lemon tree, it serves plates and tasting platters. It is open for lunch from Sunday to Friday, on some days until the food runs out, and in the evenings it hosts only private groups of 8 to 35.

These are the lunch hours at the head of every page of its site, which adds "or until the food runs out" to Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. In the evenings it takes only private groups. The box beside its own lunch menu gives Sunday to Thursday as 11:45 to 15:00. Its Google listing, as Restaurant Guru copies it, opens at 12:00 and closes at 15:00 on Sunday and Tuesday, 15:30 on Monday and 16:00 on Wednesday and Thursday, with Friday 11:30 to 14:30. Wolt takes orders from 11:45 to 15:30, and on Friday until 14:45. All agree it is closed on Saturday.
