Alex Fridman was born in 1988 in Pinsk
Fridman was born in Pinsk, then part of the Soviet Union, in 1988. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel with his family. In 1996 he was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy, which over the years paralyzed almost his whole body.
In 2000 his health got worse, and he left regular school to study at home. While bedridden, he began to study screenwriting. In 2011 he worked with the Viva channel and created the blog novel The Final Trap.
In 2015 he started a campaign to raise disability pensions in Israel and organized a rally in Rabin Square. In April 2016 he founded the association Disabled, Not Half a Human Being. His group held protests and road blocks, and in August 2017 it petitioned the Supreme Court against the Knesset and the government.
In March 2018 the disability pension rose from 2342 to 3272 shekels a month. In July the court rejected the petition, saying the legal and factual basis had changed.
In February 2019 he joined Yisrael Beiteinu and was placed 12th on its Knesset list. He left the party in January 2021. In July 2021 he was appointed to a consulting forum of the disabilities administration in the Welfare Ministry.
