Avner Paz Tzuk

Avner Paz Tzuk was born in 1963 in Ein HaShlosha

Avner Paz Tzuk was born in 1963 to the Pachuk family in Kibbutz Ein HaShlosha, where he grew up. Before enlisting, he did a year of service as a youth counselor with the Working and Studying Youth movement in Givatayim.

He joined the IDF in 1983 and began pilot training but left it. He then volunteered for Sayeret Matkal, trained as a combat soldier, and was discharged in 1986.

In 1993 he returned to the army as an engineer in the technology unit of the Intelligence Directorate, where he held engineering and command posts and became its commander in 2007. In 2010 he was named head of the IDF cyber department, and he received the Israel Defense Prize during his service. From June 2013 to July 2017 he was Chief Education Officer with the rank of brigadier general.

In January 2018 he became manager of the project to modernize Bank Hapoalim's core computer systems. In February 2020 he became a vice president at SQream, a company that develops big data analysis tools.

He holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering from the Technion and a master's degree in business administration. He lives in Kfar Sirkin with his wife, Vered, and their 3 daughters.
