Gavrieli was born in Tel Aviv on 25 September 1975 to a family of Iraqi Jewish origin. Her family has lived in the Land of Israel for 9 generations, and several relatives fought in the Irgun. Her father and brother were arrested over illegal gambling, and a cousin was murdered in a suspected underworld killing.

In the 2003 elections she was 30th on the Likud list and entered the Knesset when the party won 38 seats. Her election raised concerns from the US ambassador about organized crime influence in the Likud central committee, which she rejected. In 2004 she and photographer Adi Barkan passed a law requiring models to have a minimum BMI of 18.5, and in 2005 she became chair of the Committee on the Status of Women.

In February 2006 she tried to use her immunity to stop a police search of her father's home, which drew public criticism. She declined an offer to join Kadima, placed 45th on the Likud list, and lost her seat in the 2006 elections.

She was married to goalkeeper Liran Strauber, and they divorced in 2009. She later had 2 more children with Ran Remo. She took part in Survivor VIP in 2012 and joined the panel of The Patriots in 2015.
