בתוקף סמכותי לפי הסעיפים 4 ו־5 לחוק החניכות, תשי״ג–1953, אני מתקין תקנות אלה:
1. תקופת החניכות
(א)תקופת החניכות במסגרות מבנים היא שנתיים וחצי.
(ב)תקופת החניכות במסגרות מיכנית ובחרטות היא שלוש שנים.
2. גיל והשכלה מינימליים
תיקון: תשי״ז
(א)הגיל המינימלי לחניכות במקצועות האמורים בתקנה 1 הוא ארבע עשרה שנה.
(ב)ההשכלה המינימלית במקצועות האמורים בתקנה 1 היא סיום החינוך היסודי כמשמעותו בחוק לימוד חובה, תש״ט–1949, אולם לנער שניתנה לגביו הצהרת חניכות עד ט׳ באלול תש״כ (1 בספטמבר 1960) מספיק סיום שבע שנות לימוד בכיתות א׳ עד ז׳ ועד בכלל.
3. השם
לתקנות אלה ייקרא ”תקנות החניכות (מסגרות מיכנית, מסגרות מבנים וחרטות), תשי״ז–1957“.
