18. סודיות
(א)אדם שהגיע אליו מידע גנטי הנוגע לנבדק, תוך מילוי תפקידו או במהלך עבודתו, ישמרו בסוד ולא יעשה בו כל שימוש, אלא אם כן קיבל את הסכמת הנבדק לכך, ולפיה.
(ב)בעל רישיון, אחראי על מחקר, מטפל ומי שנותן ייעוץ גנטי, מנהל מכון גנטי, מנהל מעבדה לבדיקות גנטיות ומי שנוטל חלק במחקר, ינקטו אמצעים סבירים הדרושים כדי להבטיח שעובדים הנתונים למרותם ישמרו על סודיות הענינים המובאים לידיעתם תוך מילוי תפקידם או במהלך עבודתם.
