How much is the net minimum wage in Israel?+

The minimum wage is ₪6,443.85 a month from 1 April 2026. After income tax, national insurance, health tax and the 6% pension, a man with no children takes home about ₪5,782.

How much is the net pay on the average wage?+

What is deducted from a salary in Israel?+

Income tax at 10% to 47% by band, less credit points. National insurance at 1.04% of the first ₪7,703 and 7% above it, and health tax at 3.23% and 5.17%; neither is charged above ₪51,910 a month. The pension takes 6% of the pay up to ₪13,769.

What is a credit point?+

A credit point takes ₪242 off your income tax every month. A resident man starts with 2.25 points and a woman with 2.75. Children, new immigrants, discharged soldiers and graduates get more, and the points cannot take the tax below zero.

How much does an employer pay on top of the gross salary?+

On a ₪15,000 salary the employer pays about ₪2,623 more a month: ₪902 national insurance, ₪895 pension and ₪826 severance pay, which is 17% on top of the gross.

Is the pension deduction compulsory?+

Yes. An employee is covered by a mandatory pension, usually after six months in a new job unless they were already in a pension scheme. The employee pays 6% and the employer 6.5% plus 6% for severance, on a salary up to ₪13,769 a month.

Do new immigrants pay less income tax?+

Yes. Someone who arrived from 2022 gets extra credit points for 54 months: one a month for the first 12 months, three for the next 18, two for the next 12 and one for the last 12. The Tax Authority's 2026 deductions booklet also lists an income tax exemption for people who arrived after 5 November 2025; its conditions are not out yet, so this calculator does not apply it.

Why is the net pay on my payslip different?+

A payslip can differ when it includes a study fund, car or phone benefits, meal vouchers, a pension on another base, or credit points from your Form 101 that differ from the choices here. Single parents get extra credit points that this calculator does not count. Treat the result as a close estimate for one monthly salary.
