Pablo Rosenberg came from Argentina at six and sang in a rock band before going solo in 1996
Pablo Rosenberg was born in Rosario, Argentina, in 1965, came to Israel with his family at six and grew up in Beit She'an. He got his first guitar at ten, and in 1980 two songs he wrote appeared on Solo Rishon, a record of songs by unknown writers put together by producer Solo Yorman. In 1990 he became the lead singer of the rock band Stella Maris, which released its first album on Helicon in 1992.
After the band's second album, HaSha'ar Niftach (1994), for which he wrote all the lyrics, he went solo. His first album, Rak HaLev Yode'a (1996), produced by Nick Miller, brought the hits BeDma'ot She'at Bocha, Im Rak Tavo'i and BeMirvach Tipot HaGeshem, and more albums followed up to HaChayim Sheli Achshav (2017). His cover of Yaldonet with Yoav Yitzhak won the Tamuz award for a cover version in 2000.
In 2006 he and Shlomi Shabat set out with a joint show, recorded at Caesarea and released as a live album in 2007, and in January 2026 the two opened their third tour together at Expo Tel Aviv. On screen he was a judge on Kochav Nolad in 2010, travelled the world with Gal Toren in Tiyul Acharei Tzava on Kan 11, and played the lead in the drama Tito VeRucho, which earned him an Israeli Television Academy nomination. In 2026 he starred in the film Hola Chao.
