Shiri Maimon went from the first season of Kokhav Nolad to fourth place at Eurovision

Shiri Maimon grew up in Kiryat Haim in Haifa and first sang on stage in 1991, as one of the Festigal children. She served in the Israeli Air Force band, and in 2003 she reached the final of the first season of Kokhav Nolad and finished second.

In 2005 she won the Kdam Eurovision with HaSheket SheNish'ar and came fourth at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv. Her debut album, Shiri Maimon, came out that September and went gold, in 2008 she won Best Israeli Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and from 2010 she toured a joint show with Shimon Buskila more than 300 times.

On stage and screen she played Eva Perón in Evita at Habima, played Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway in 2018 and gave Elphaba her Hebrew voice in Wicked. She has judged X Factor Israel and HaKokhav HaBa, recorded a live album with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 2024 and released her album Shkufa the same year.
