Meshek David is a biodynamic farm in moshav Ahituv in the Hefer Valley that makes cheese and yogurt from the milk of its own herd of Alpine goats, which live in a pen beside the dairy all year round. It makes eight cheeses in three families, fresh, lactic and hard, by hand in a traditional way, in processes that take from weeks to years; its crops are organic, it runs on solar energy and its animals are raised without antibiotics. The farm has a visitors' centre and a deli shop where its cheeses can be tasted and bought, open Sunday to Thursday from 09:00 to 17:00 and on Friday until 14:00. It hosts tours and cheese-making workshops for business and private groups.
