6 Heil HaHandasa Street, Max Amot Centre, Beer Sheva

A Mediterranean tapas restaurant and bar of Beer Sheva's Kampai group, open since 2013, with a taboon at the door and a big bar in the middle of the room

Kepasa, which writes its name KEPASA? in Latin letters, is a Mediterranean tapas restaurant and bar at 6 Heil HaHandasa Street in Beer Sheva, in what its website calls the Max Amot centre, in the BIG shopping area at the eastern entrance to the city. It belongs to the Kampai group, which also runs Kampai, HaSifria, Koh Thai and Kampai Street Wok in the city. Calcalist reported in August 2013 that it was then a tapas bar about three months old, the group's newest, opened where the group had run a branch of Spaghettim for ten years; the group's partners were then the brothers Yossi and Roi Schwartz, who opened Beer Sheva's Forum club in 1988, Alon Elbaz, the group's chief executive, Golan Botbol and Assaf Abutbul. Foodis wrote in 2024 that it began with Israeli Mediterranean food with a clear South American influence, which gave it its name, "what's up?", and that it has since moved towards Greek cooking, with more meat, fish and pasta. In its own words it brings a happy atmosphere, excellent music and flavours from the kitchens around the Mediterranean, with cocktails built on house infusions and syrups and a list of wines. The menu runs from house focaccia and hot dips, feta in crisp filo with honey, cauliflower tempura and lamb arayes to salads, pastas, pizzas from the taboon, burgers, a 300-gram schnitzel, Adana kebab, an entrecôte and fish, with a vegan menu and a children's menu; Walla's Yael Reif named the giant schnitzel, the tartufo pizza and the lamb arayes as the dishes to order. Foodis described a roomy restaurant with a big bar in the middle, a half-open kitchen, a shaded green terrace and a huge taboon at the entrance, and Israel Hayom's Maya Darin wrote in 2015 of high ceilings, a private room, a DJ booth and tables on several levels. At lunchtime it serves business meals of a first course, a main course and a drink for 79 to 119 shekels, and in the evening, Walla wrote on 1 October 2026, the bar becomes the centre of things, with cocktails and upbeat music. It is open every day, Friday and Saturday included. It hosts chefs from time to time: in November 2015 chef Dror Shushan hosted Omer Miller there for one evening, and in January 2025 Shahar Tamir, a finalist of the cooking show Game of Chefs, cooked a guest menu there for two days.

Sources disagree on these hours

Its website gives Sunday to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 12:00 to 23:00 and Thursday 12:00 to 23:30, and so do its booking page on Tabit and its Google listing, as Wanderlog and its Tabit record copy it. Wolt takes orders from it from 11:50 to 23:00, and to 23:30 on Thursday; those are delivery hours. ROL's restaurant directory gives Sunday to Wednesday and Friday 12:00 to 23:00 and Thursday and Saturday 12:00 to midnight, and ynet printed 12:00 to midnight on Thursday in 2022. GoNegev and OpenStreetMap give 12:00 to midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and 12:00 to 01:00 from Thursday to Saturday, the hours Foodis printed in 2018. Its listing on d.co.il gives daytime hours that are not the restaurant's.
