A Russian restaurant in two restored 19th-century buildings in Beer Sheva's Old City, with live music and dancing on Thursday and Friday nights.

Kiparis is a Russian restaurant on a quiet street of the Old City, which its site says was founded by Alexander Mazus and reopened in September 1994 after a full reconstruction of 19th-century historic buildings. Its rooms mix Mediterranean design with a modern restaurant look: two dining rooms, a separate VIP room, a patio, and a dance floor and stage in the middle where musicians play in the evenings. Head chef Galina Saponchik's kitchen cooks Russian and European dishes, with a chosen wine list, a business lunch from noon to five, and ready dishes, vegetarian dishes and semi-prepared food to take home. On Thursday and Friday evenings the house band, the Kiparis ensemble, leads a dance programme with shows, and the restaurant hosts weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and children's parties.
