A winery at Moshav Kidmat Tzvi in the Golan Heights, by a grove and a spring looking out over the Sea of Galilee, making unfiltered wines from vineyards on the Golan's basalt soil.

Bazelet HaGolan Winery was founded in 1998 by Yoav Levy after years of making wine at home, and its site says the secret of its wines lies in the Golan's rich basalt soil, the climate and natural, careful winemaking: after fermentation the wine is kept unfiltered in barrels. It makes about 80,000 bottles a year from about 100 dunams of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay vineyards between 500 and 1,000 metres above sea level; its newest vineyard, at Tel Fares in the east-central Golan, gave its first harvest in 2014. The visitor centre is at the winery in Kidmat Tzvi, by a grove and a spring facing the Sea of Galilee, where visitors hear its story, see how the wine is made and taste the wines; tours, team days and events are arranged ahead, and on Thursday evenings it runs a wine bar. Its logo is an ancient coin bearing the face of Dionysus, the god of wine.
