Hai Park opened in July 2002 as a project of the Kiryat Motzkin municipality and is run by the town's community centres network. On 180 dunams it keeps more than 350 animals of over 100 species, among them giraffes, elephants, monkeys including an orangutan, parrots and other birds, snakes and turtles. Beside the zoo are a park with a two-dunam swan lake, fountains, lawns and shaded seating, a mini luna park with rides, an electric train along the zoo's wide paths, and an amphitheatre for shows of up to 10,000 people.
