Sideways is a wine bar on Rafael Eitan Street in Ramat Efal, and its booking page says it was born of a love of wine and hosting. Its wine list runs from sparkling and rosé through whites and reds sorted by style, from Alsace, the Loire, Italy and Germany as well as Israeli wineries in the Golan and the Judean Hills. The food is a short list made for the wine: warm bread with smoked garlic butter, beef tartare, cured salmon, fish croquettes, risotto, fettuccine, a cheese plate and a chocolate cremeux. It opens in the evenings, and Monday to Wednesday the first hour brings 20% off food and wine.
