The Academy of Martial Arts is a ju-jitsu club at 4 Ehud Street, at the corner of Uziel Street, in Ramat Gan. Its site says the first institute in Ramat Gan, called Club 10, opened in 1985 with Master Mati Elyashiv at its head, after he had developed the style known as Israeli Ju Jitsu from traditional Japanese techniques, and that it now has hundreds of trainees, among them dozens of black belts. Israeli Ju Jitsu draws on judo, karate, Thai boxing and Krav Maga, and the club also teaches Brazilian and Japanese ju-jitsu, MMA and self-defence for women, in small groups divided by age. Its timetable has children's groups from age 4, a senior belts' class and a class for high-school students and beginner adults on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, and personal training on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
