An old grill house at one end of the Ashkelon market, serving kebab, skewers and salads, open since the 1960s by mako's account

Steakiyat Istanbul is a grill restaurant at 28 David Remez Street, at one end of the Ashkelon market; an August 2026 article on mako counted it among the city's old institutions, open since the 1960s. Its ordering page lists Istanbul kebab, chicken thigh steak, chicken breast, chicken livers, merguez sausages and hearts in a pita or baguette with salads and spreads, plates with chips, pitas and cold sides, a whole sea bream and business meals. Maariv's critic Nir Kipnis wrote in April 2025 of a table opened with salads, pitas and pickles, an airy kebab on the skewer, fresh chicken thighs and spicy sausages, with Carlsberg on tap, for a bill a little above 100 shekels a diner. Its Wolt page tags it kosher.
