A family winery at Kibbutz Ein Zivan in the northern Golan Heights, where its Pelter and Matar wines and its distillery's spirits are poured in the production hall, beside the tanks and the barrels.

Pelter Winery was founded in 2002 by Tal and Nir Pelter, after Tal came back from studying winemaking and vine growing in Australia; it began in the family yard at Moshav Tzofit and moved in 2005 to Kibbutz Ein Zivan, where its vineyards grow at about 1,000 metres above sea level on volcanic tuff soil. Its kosher boutique label, Matar, followed in 2012, and in 2013 a boutique distillery with an alembic still the brothers bought in Cognac, which distils grapes, Pink Lady apples, Medjool dates and malt for its whisky. Visitors taste the Pelter and Matar wines and the distillery's spirits in the production hall, beside the fermentation tanks and the barrels, and can order a glass or a bottle to drink there with a platter of goat cheeses made on site, bread and olive oil; a deli sells other local products. Seating is first come, first served, and on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays guest chefs cook a changing menu in its kitchen.
