Danya Sports Club stands on 12 dunams of hillside facing the Carmel, at 18 Greenbaum Street in the Denya neighbourhood, and its site says it was the first club of its kind founded in Haifa, on the initiative of the neighbourhood's residents. It has three pools: a 25-metre main pool, covered and heated in winter to about 28 degrees, a learners' pool heated all year to about 30 degrees with a current pool in its corner, and a toddlers' pool open in summer; the pool area was upgraded in 2013. The gym is on two levels at the top of the main building, one for strength and one for aerobic work, with instructors who help members and build training programmes, and personal training costs 150 shekels an hour. The club also has dry and wet saunas, tennis courts, a squash hall, a beauty-treatment corner, a restaurant and classes, some included in the membership and some paid. Entry is for members and their guests only, with an electronic key, and no single-entry tickets are sold.
