Its site says Dulce began in 2016 in its owner's home kitchen, making gluten-free alfajores from a long-held Argentine recipe. Demand led to a factory in Herzliya in 2019, opened with funding from the Natan fund, first for alfajores and alfajores balls. After working out a formula of whole original flours it added gluten-free breads, challahs, cakes, cookies, bourekas and quiches, and holiday bakes such as honey cakes, doughnuts and hamantaschen. Orders placed on its site by 16:00 the day before are collected from the factory at no charge.
