Lechem Artisan is a bakery and patisserie founded in the spring of 1999 by the brothers Haim and Guy Sadot and the late Shimshon Roth; the Sadot brothers learned to bake from their uncle in Toronto and trained for some six years in bakeries there. Its breads are made only with natural sourdough of wild yeast, proved more than once by hand over a long time and baked in an oven with a stone floor, which its site says gives them a hard, crisp crust and a soft crumb. Its eight branches across the Sharon and the centre bake the same range every day: sourdough breads, rolls, bagels and pretzels, yeast and loaf cakes, quiches and its Artiglio pizzas, and its online shop also sells cheeses, jams and spreads from small producers. The Kfar Saba branch at 16 HaCarmel Street is open from 07:00 to 20:00 Sunday to Thursday and from 07:00 to 15:00 on Friday, is on the Kfar Saba religious council's list of kosher businesses, and also takes orders through Wolt.
