Xcape was founded in Kfar Saba in 2015 by Yafit and Nissim Amar, who built its first room, The Hobbit, themselves with their children and friends, its site says. At 24 HaTa'as Street it runs The Hobbit, a fairy-tale adventure to bring back a lost stone and save a kingdom, and YAMAM SWAT, a detective and action room in which players in SWAT vests and radios have 60 minutes to find and defuse a bomb hidden in a school. Each room takes 2 to 10 players for a 60-minute game, about an hour and a half with the briefing and photos, and suits children from 6; from 12 they can play without an adult. The Hobbit has three difficulty levels, a family level among them, needs no reading or writing and can be played in English. Xcape's other rooms, Harry Potter and the Maze of Time, The Dragons' Maze, The Maze of Darkness and Patient No. 8, are next door at 26 HaTa'as Street.
