Its site tells the story behind the name: a woman who lived alone in a small stone house in an old Jerusalem neighbourhood, kneaded and baked every day and made huge trays of pizza for passers-by, and whose secret recipe, it says, was handed down the generations to HaYerushalmit, which still prepares its dough by her rules at the start of every working day. Besides pizzas in personal and family sizes, a gluten-free one among them, it serves malawach, jachnun, ziva, calzone, salads and pasta, and its site also offers a pizza kit and pizza for events. The Kfar Saba branch is open from 11:00 to 22:45 Sunday to Thursday and until 14:45 on Friday, and reopens half an hour after Shabbat ends, until 22:45. It is kosher under the Kfar Saba religious council.
