Mul HaTel is a small vineyard and family winery on Adi and Sima's farm in Moshav Mishmar Ayalon, in the Gezer Regional Council; the couple turned to growing vines and making wine after decades in the civil service, studying viticulture and winemaking at the Soreq school in Nahshon. They planted the vineyard in five stages between 2019 and 2023 on 8.5 to 9 dunams of heavy clay and limestone beside their home, facing the biblical Tel Gezer, which gives the place its name. It grows 15 red and white varieties, among them Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Marselan, Grenache, Barbera, Malbec, Tannat, Sangiovese and Gewürztraminer, under nets that keep off the birds, and its site says every wine is made only from grapes grown there. The couple receive visitors to the vineyard and the winery, host and run workshops by arrangement.
