A kosher Thai restaurant with the JA-PAN sushi bar, cooking the dishes of Udon Thani in north-east Thailand

Pan is a kosher Thai restaurant at 7 Oskar Schindler Street in Haifa, with a sushi bar called JA-PAN beside it. Its site tells how it began: its founder came to Israel for love and, missing the aromatic dishes of her home town, Udon Thani in north-east Thailand, opened a restaurant in Haifa inspired by the scents of its gardens. The kitchen keeps to original recipes and fresh ingredients: papaya and larb salads with sticky rice, soups, curries, pad thai, pad see ew and seared sea bass, and the sushi bar adds nigiri, sashimi and rolls. The whole menu is kosher, with gluten-free and vegan options marked. From Sunday to Friday, 12:00 to 17:00, there is a business lunch, and it also delivers and caters events.
