A family grill of Iraqi meat skewers on HaHistadrut Avenue, grown over forty years from a small kiosk in Naveh David

Sabih Grill is a family meat restaurant at 211 HaHistadrut Avenue in Haifa, one of its two branches, the other in Kiryat Motzkin. Its site tells how, four decades ago, it began as a small kiosk in the Naveh David neighbourhood of Haifa, which its founder, Sabih, who gave the place his Iraqi name, built into a stronghold of meat skewers grilled over the fire. Today his grandsons run the family business, the staff are members of the family, and the site speaks of high standards of cleanliness, personal service and fresh ingredients, and of simple, good food made with all the heart. Each branch takes orders for delivery and takeaway, and the Haifa branch opens from Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 to 17:00.
