The first café of the Ofaimme organic farm, with a farm shop beside it, in the old neighbourhood pharmacy on Beit HaKerem's historic street.

Ofaimme is a sustainable farm in the Arava that raises Alpine goats, free-range hens, dates and vegetables to organic standards and makes its own cheese, bread and preserves. In Beit HaKerem it opened its first café, beside a shop selling the farm's produce, in a listed building on the neighbourhood's historic street that used to be the local pharmacy; its site says care was taken to keep the building's character. The café serves breakfasts, shakshuka, sandwiches on sourdough bread and trays of the farm's goat cheeses, all of it from what the farm grows and makes. Its page describes the day: students from the David Yellin College and doctors from Shaare Zedek stop early for coffee or a sandwich, friends come to work or write, families arrive for lunch, and people gather again later over a cheese tray and a glass of wine. It is open Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 to 18:00 and on Friday from 8:00 to 13:00.
