Alegra is a boutique hotel on Derech HaAhayot in the heart of Ein Kerem, on the western edge of Jerusalem, opened in 2011. It has 14 suites and rooms, each furnished in a style of its own that mixes Eastern motifs with old and new. The hotel has two buildings: the main house, with its restaurant and a large green garden that leads up to a roof looking over the whole of Ein Kerem, and a quieter building of suites. Breakfast is an open buffet served every morning, to be eaten in the lounge, the garden or on the roof, and the hotel also has a spa, a business lounge and a space for small events. Guests are 18 and over, except in August and over the Tishrei holidays, when families come too.
