Monkeys is a climbing gym on the first floor of the Nitzba Poleg compound in Netanya's Poleg industrial zone, opened in 2016 by a team of climbing instructors and route setters, and a five-minute walk from Netanya Sapir railway station. It has 850 square metres of floor and 450 of climbing wall, with more than 150 routes changed every week: a bouldering hall of walls 4 to 5 metres high, and a top-rope area about 7 metres high that suits beginners and children from age 5. A training area holds training walls, weights, rings, TRX straps and fingerboards, and there is a climbing-gear shop and a coffee bar. No booking is needed: first-timers get a safety briefing of about 20 minutes, and after 20:00 the gym is for ages 12 and up.
