A science museum in Petah Tikva about the human body and the relationship between people and their environment

The Man and Environment Museum was founded in 1965 as the Museum of the Human Body, with a first display on human physiology and anatomy brought from abroad as a gift, in a building the Petah Tikva municipality built for it. In 1985 it took its present name and widened its subjects to become a modern museum of science and the environment. Its exhibitions look at the systems that make the human body work, with an emphasis on anatomy, physiology, health and sustainability, through visual and interactive displays suited to a wide range of ages that invite exploration and hands-on discovery. It runs programmes for kindergartens, schools and teaching staff, science clubs and events such as science cafés, and its site says special help can be given to visitors with hearing or sight disabilities.
