Petah Tikva Zoo is a green garden in the heart of the city where visitors meet monkeys, deer, ostriches, waterfowl of many kinds, colourful parrots, snakes and other animals. It takes part in projects to rehabilitate wild animals injured in nature, such as pelicans and storks, together with the Wildlife Hospital and the Nature and Parks Authority. A circular walking trail runs between ponds, waterfalls and shaded paths, with seating corners for families and a garden of touch and sounds for children, and the zoo has a community library and free Wi-Fi for visitors. Its page says the taxidermy museum and the reptiles are closed until further notice while the zoo is renovated.
