Ramat Gan's museum of Israeli art, in a 1930s industrial building on Abba Hillel Silver Road near the Yarkon, at the heart of the city's museum campus

The Ramat Gan Museum of Israeli Art was founded in 1987 and, by its own account, is dedicated to Israeli contemporary art, alongside historical tribute and research exhibitions. It occupies an industrial building from the 1930s on one of the city's main roads by the Yarkon River, shaped as an acute triangle by the meeting of two historic roads; the city took the building over in 1983, and the museum's founder and first curator was Meir Ahronson. Its collection holds more than 2,500 works in a variety of media by veteran and contemporary Israeli artists. The building was expanded and renovated from 2017 to plans by Efrat-Kowalsky Architects and reopened at the end of 2021, and its site says the artists' houses of Aharon Kahana, Nathan Rapoport, Kosso Eloul and Joseph Constant on the same campus will open under its management. It runs guided tours, Saturday workshops and activities for families.
