Is this your business?Claim it freeThe zoological centre in Ramat Gan's National Park, where visitors drive through an African savanna and then walk round a zoo
Ramat Gan Safari, the Zoological Center of Ramat Gan, covers about 1,000 dunams inside the city's National Park, which its site says was founded in 1951 by the mayor of the day, Avraham Krinitzi, with a small petting corner added two years later. It is in two parts: an African savanna, with a separate lions' enclosure, where the animals roam freely and visitors drive through in a closed car without getting out, and a zoo toured on foot from the zoo car park. Its site suggests three to four hours for a visit; a map is handed out at the ticket offices, and mobility scooters and children's ride-on cars can be hired at the information desk at the zoo entrance. Feeding times are posted for several animals, guided activities run at weekends and on holidays, and food stands are spread around the zoo, with the vegetarian Jungle restaurant by the lake at its centre.
