A café and restaurant in Ramat Gan National Park, facing the lake, serving breakfasts, pasta, pizza and fish from morning to night

Joy Garden opened in 2019 in Ramat Gan National Park, facing the lake and the lawns. By its own account it was started by a Tel Aviv publicist, a backpacker and a mother on maternity leave, and it calls itself a happy neighbourhood restaurant. Breakfasts such as a Turkish plate with a spinach pastry, eggs Benedict and shakshuka are served until 11:45; after that the menu turns to sharing plates, salads, fresh pasta, pizzas and fish, with cocktails, beer on tap and wine. Many dishes come in vegan or gluten-free versions, and coffee can be made with soy or oat milk. It also hosts small private events by the lake.
