The Rothschild Hotel stands at 96 Rothschild Boulevard in central Tel Aviv, in an eclectic historical building listed for preservation. Its site tells how the land was bought in 1922 by Avraham Friedman, the Baron de Rothschild's head agronomist and son of Yosef Friedman, one of the founders of Rosh Pina, who put up the first building on the plot. The hotel is designed as a tribute to Baron Edmond de Rothschild, from his early life in Paris to his work in the Land of Israel, with cast-iron furnishings with brass touches inspired by Parisian gates, natural materials, Egyptian cotton sheets and toiletries made by a small farm in the Jerusalem hills that employs people with autism. Breakfast is served from Sunday to Friday and the bar is open all day, with a concierge, a luggage room and parking for hotel guests. Its site says couples come for wedding nights, anniversaries and birthdays.
