A restored First Aliyah farmyard in Yesud HaMa'ala, the first colony of the Hula Valley, telling the story of the Dubrovin family and the founders

Dubrovin Farm is a restored farmers' yard in the heart of the orchards of Yesud HaMa'ala, founded in 1883 as the first colony of the Hula Valley, and it is run as a heritage site by the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel. It tells the story of the colony's struggle with the land and of Yoav Dubrovin, a convert to Judaism who came to the Land of Israel in 1909, and his family, through displays of objects from the attic, documents and photographs, and an audiovisual show. The restored site has a rare antilia well, an orchard of plants of the Land of Israel and "the way of bread", showing how grain was grown, and a self-guided tour with 13 digital audio-guide stations is included in the ticket. Families can dress up in period costume, draw, grind wheat with millstones and play an escape game, and groups can book guided and dramatised tours and a walk along the Founders' Street to the remains of the old synagogue and the water tower.
